Lunar July 7 is Chinese's Valentine's Day, It's on Aug 7 this year. The legend was told that a fairy falled in love with a young man, who was only a human being and earned his living by herding cows. The fairy's father was the most powerful god of all, he discovered their love affair and was very angry, so he seperated the couple. Only on Lunar July 7 can they meet each other. Coincidentally, It usually rains on that day. People say it's because the fairy is so happy to see her lover as to burst into tears. Most lovers sees each other everyday nowadays, but on the Chinese's Valentine's Day, they will arrange some activities to celebrate, a big meal is most popular.
